Hi, I’m Dylan McLean, a Physical Therapist with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from California Lutheran University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University. I’ve been a PT for four years and have worked with a wide range of people — from athletes and post-operative patients to those managing chronic pain. I became a PT because I love helping people understand their bodies, move with confidence, and get back to doing the things they enjoy. Outside of work, I enjoy lifting weights, golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with my wife and our dog.
I treat with an appreciation for the biopsychosocial model, which simply means I take a more holistic approach to rehab. Pain is complex and influenced by many factors — including lifestyle, habits, beliefs, and expectations — so sometimes zooming out helps us find what truly needs to be addressed. My approach is unique because I recognize that each person brings a different set of experiences, and effective rehab should never be one-size-fits-all. In my practice, I emphasize exercise and education to build independence, confidence, and long-term solutions that last beyond the clinic.
During your first session, we’ll start with a detailed conversation about your injury, goals, and any concerns you have. I’ll guide you through a movement assessment and some simple strength or mobility tests to better understand what’s going on. From there, we’ll begin treatment and build a personalized plan that fits your lifestyle. Sessions typically last about an hour — wear something comfortable to move in, and feel free to bring any relevant medical notes or imaging. My goal is to make sure you leave with clarity, a plan, and confidence in your next steps.
